Applied Data Engineering
Data collected from the Internet, social media, IoT, mobile devices and other industries have been dramatically growing along with the development of computation, storage, and networking abilities. This course focuses on the approaches and techniques for extracting values from such massive data through big data processing technologies including RDBMS, Hadoop, SQL, Python and Spark. Students will learn the fundamental skills to solve real-world problems upon the certificate program completion.Challenges of big data analytics with large data sets will be explored and emerging techniques for addressing those challenges will be discussed.
